Punjabi film actress Mandy Takhar has officially ended her marriage with Shekhar Kaushal, with the Saket family court granting a divorce. The separation follows a mutual consent petition filed by the couple, which the court approved during proceedings at Delhi’s Saket district court.
Sources confirmed that both Takhar and Kaushal agreed to part ways amicably, and their joint petition was accepted after the court recorded statements from both parties. Renowned lawyer Ishan Mukherjee, representing Mandy Takhar, stated that the first proposal for divorce had been approved, but declined to share specific terms of the agreement, citing confidentiality.
However, Singh admitted that the message was lost because of his wording. He said he now understands that such topics require sensitivity, especially when discussed on a public stage where comments can be clipped and shared without context.
Calling the incident a learning experience, Singh said he accepts responsibility for the fallout. Quoting a common saying about humans being prone to errors, he assured fans that he would be more conscious of his language and the potential impact of his statements in the future.
The singer concluded by apologising to anyone who felt uncomfortable or hurt, saying he would strive to strike a better balance between entertainment and responsibility in his public appearances.
